Hengke Metals is pleased to announce the successful completion of a comprehensive upgrade to our sand casting workshop. This modernization project, finished in 2025, aimed to boost production capacity, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen our commitment to sustainable manufacturing in the steel casting industry.

Expanded Capacity and Advanced Equipment

The upgraded facility features 129 sets of state-of-the-art foundry equipment, including shell-mold lines, shell removal machines, electric resistance furnaces, dust collection systems, cooling towers, overhead cranes, automated shakeout machines, and more. With these enhancements, we can now produce up to 7,000 tons of steel castings annually—comprising 2,500 tons of shell-mold steel castings and 4,500 tons of sand-cast steel castings. This expanded capacity enables us to meet growing market demands while maintaining the highest quality standards.

 

Focus on Environmental Responsibility

  • High-Efficiency Dust Collection: Our upgraded dust collection systems help minimize airborne particulates, ensuring a cleaner work environment and reducing emissions.
  • Cooling Towers: Advanced cooling towers optimize closed-loop water circulation, reducing both water consumption and energy use.
  • Mechanical Sand Reclamation: By recycling foundry sand, we significantly reduce waste, lower costs, and align with global sustainability goals.

Automation and Intelligent Manufacturing

  • Automated Shell-Mold Lines: Streamline the shell molding process, enhancing precision, consistency, and throughput.
  • Integrated Shakeout Machines: Accelerate sand removal from castings, improving both efficiency and worker safety.
  • Automated Feeding Systems: Ensure continuous, stable operations with minimal downtime, resulting in higher productivity.

Case Study

Following our 2025 workshop upgrade, Hengke received an urgent order from an international marine client for large steel castings weighing up to 650 kg. With strict performance and surface quality demands, the project became the first major test of our new equipment. Using our upgraded shakeout machine, resistance furnace, and automated feeding system, we completed the batch in just 20 days—seven days ahead of schedule—with a first-pass yield of 98.7%.

The client praised both our quality and delivery, expressing interest in long-term cooperation. This project proved the success of our upgrade and reinforced Hengke’s strength in producing complex, large-scale sand castings for the marine industry.
